Dr. Jeffrey Barrows
Dr. Jeffrey Barrows is the Founder of Gracehaven, a shelter for adolescent girls in central Ohio. Gracehaven seeks, through Christian love, to provide shelter and rehabilitation to girls under the age of 18 who have been victims of commercial sexual exploitation, and to raise awareness among young women about the issue of domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST) in order to educate and equip them so that they can avoid becoming victims themselves. Dr. Mark Boustred
Dr. Boustred is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the South African College of Medicine and by the Medical Council of New Zealand. He is also Board Certified in General Surgery by the South African College of Medicine and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. MORE »
Dr. Stephen Graham
Dr. Graham has spent most of his life providing dental care to poor and indigent populations in the Chattanooga region. He has also done a great deal of medical mission work, having been to Peru a number of times. He has a passion to get involved in the war against human trafficking and to make a difference in the lives of others. MORE »
Dr. Laura Lederer
After 10 years in philanthropy as director of community and social concerns at a private foundation, Laura continued her education at the University of San Francisco Law School and DePaul College of Law and received her juris doctorate in June 1994. She is the editor of Take Back the Night, published in 1980 by William and Morrow (hardcover) and Bantam Books (paperback), and the author of numerous articles on trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of women and children. Dr. Lois Lee
In 1979, Dr. Lois Lee abandoned a promising career as a scholar and social policy expert, devised a plan, and took action. Since that time, she has been rescuing America’s children from the ravages of street prostitution. Her single-minded efforts and dedication led to the development of Children of the Night, where she still serves as president. MORE »
Dr. Katherine Welch
Dr. Welch has worked in Asia for the past seven years. From 2000-2004 she was the Co-Medical Director of hospital in rural Thailand on the Burmese border and provided medical care for refugees, poor villagers, and other marginalized people in the area, many of whom had HIV/AIDS and TB. Her patients included women who had been prostituted in Bangkok. Dr. Welch has been based in Yunnan Province, China, since 2005 where she has been the medical consultant to NGOs working with victims of trafficking, prostitution, as well as orphans and children with disabilities.
